Ross Dale has been producing television for over ten years. Born in New York City, he is a graduate of The Groton School and received a B.A. in English from Wesleyan University. After college, Dale began his career in Jackson Hole, WY, where he spent a year at their NBC affiliate, KJWY. “It was like taking a class in television production where the teacher never showed up.” After settling in Los Angeles in 1997, Dale began a three year stint making documentary profiles for The E! True Hollywood Story.
In 2000 Dale took a job at Sexcetera, Playboy TV’s erotic newsmagazine. Credited on 68 of the show’s 80 episodes, he worked as a producer, on-camera host, and ultimately as the showrunner for the final two seasons. While writing and producing over 100 stories, Dale was dispatched throughout America as well as to ten foreign countries on four different continents. In 2006 he created and developed a new reality series for Playboy TV called Naked Happy Girls, which he wrote and produced on location in New York City.
During his seven years with The Bunny, Dale was fascinated by what he saw, awakened by what he heard, and confused by what he did. Many of those experiences are recounted in his memoir novel Embedded: Confessions of a TV Sex Journalist (Sourcebooks, 2008).
After finishing his book, Dale returned to E! Entertainment Television to become the Executive Producer for a series of one hour specials, most notably Sexiest Vegas Jobs, Sexiest Wet & Wild Jobs, and Sexiest Miami Jobs.
Dale now lives in Hollywood, CA. He is not a pornographer. |
